Due to a API update with weather.com awhile back, all old xfce4 weather plugins stopped working. Here is a list of proposed updates that should fix the API errors. Note it may be buggy. Direct Download DEB's Oneiric 11.10: i386 amd64 Natty 11.04: i386 amd64 Maverick 10.10: i386 amd64 Lucid 10.04: i386 amd64 Small update from my September post. As you may know, Canonical freezes software packages a few weeks before a new distribution comes out.Only security updates will be installed after the freeze. If you want new fectures for your software, you need to install a ppa. To add a repository on your system the new way (9.10 and higher) all you do is “sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonoomph/openshot-edge” Some software on this list may no longer be updated for older systems. 1: Chromium - Stable: ppa:chromium-daily/stable [10.04+] 2: Firefox - Stable: ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable [10.04+] 3: Thunderbird - Stable: ppa:mozillateam/thunderbird-stable [10.04+] 4. The news about Ubuntu dropping Banshee, Tomboy And Mono from the 12.04 CD doesn't bother me. I don't like Banshee, I use Tomboy sometimes, but I don't like it being automatically installed on my computers with lower disk space, I can install that from the Software Center easily. And for Mono, I use a custom PPA for that, not the default Ubuntu version. I would like Synaptic Package Manager being installed by default. I use that program a lot. I'm not sure if I will be upgrading to 12.04 when it comes out. If Canonical doesn't extend support for 10.10, I guess I will have to upgrade or move to some other distribution. I'm probably going to stay with XFCE as my desktop environment. I'm to geeky to use Unity or GNOME 3. I have over 30 programs running at once at times. As for Windows 8, I already know I'm not going to upgrade any of my personal or business computers to that in 2012. I'll buy a OEM copy when it comes out and use it as a virtual machine. I will offer full support for Windows 8 for repair, service and Win7 to Win8 Upgrades. At this time, I do not have a plan to build "Designed for Windows 8" computers. As for Windows XP, I'm planing to move it from Full Support to Moderate Support due to some software dropping SP3 in 2012. Windows Vista SP2 and Windows 7 RTM, SP1 will stay at Full Support. Some other plans in the works... Removing all ads from this website. Expanding Android support next year. Partnership/Affiliation with businesses. Expanding our investment portfolio. Name change to attract more customers. New domain name. Official Business LLC. Complying with all California state and federal business laws, regulations and taxes. Install Flash Player 11 on Debian or Ubuntu 10/05/2011
Flash Player is now out and your wondering how to upgrade? Your options are, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ and install it yourself using one of the versions or use a script file to install Flash Player on your system. The script file can be downloaded at http://web.techfurs.net/Flash11ForUbuntu.html then follow the directions so the script will install it for you.
